Denali Chapter #16 meets the 2nd & 4th Mondays at 7:30 p.m., except the 2nd meeting in June and December. They are dark in July and August.  Meetings are held at the Anchorage Masonic Center, 15th and Eagle St.

Denali Chapter #16 was constituted November 5, 1960.  Since that time our members have worked hard supporting many charities, both locally and nationally.

One of the reasons for forming this chapter was to provide the Rainbow Girls with a sponsor.  We are proud to be the sponsor of Nugget #13, I.O.R.G.  Our members serve on the advisory board of Nugget #13, as well as the Grand Executive Board of Grand Assembly of Alaska.

Denali Chapter created the Jessie Bentley Scholarship Fund for Masonic Youth in 2001; our main scholarship fundraiser is the sale of poinsettia plants in the winter.  We were able to award our first scholarship in the spring of 2008.

Denali Chapter also has an ESTARL Scholarship for individuals who are going to school for the purpose of religious training.  For more information on either scholarship, contact the chapter secretary
.

♥ OES and Rainbow work together on Community Service Projects

In February Denali #16 and Nugget Assembly #13 combined their creative talents and made valentines for the 170 residents of the Anchorage Pioneer Home; the girls also made chocolate lollipops, which is one of their assembly fundraisers.  On Valentines Day, the two organizations delivered the valentines to the APH residents.

In March our chapter and the assembly will make Easter baskets, and in April they will make Mother's Day corsages, both which are for the Pioneer Home.

♥ Denali "adopts a platoon"

In February we began assembling items for "care packages" for Alaskan military deployed overseas.  This month we sent 8 packages.
