Order of the Eastern Star in Alaska

Star of the North Chapter #17 meets the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at 36081 Kenai Spur Highway, Soldotna, AK.  They are dark in June and July. 

Installation of Officers happened on Friday, January 15th.  It was truly a beautiful affair.

Sister Claudianne Jones, P.M. of Matanuska Chapter #14 was the Installing Officer and did absolutely awesome ritual work!!  Sister Victoria Ault, P.M. of Denali Chapter #16/Matanuska Chapter #14 was elegant in her role as Installing Marshal.  Sister Joan Morgan, P.M. of Denali #16 sparkled as the Installing Secretary.  Brother Les Little, P.P. of Star of the North Chapter #17 was debonair as our Installing Chaplain.  Sister Pat Dart of Denali #16 added the gift of music as the Installing Organist.

Sister Linda M. Duce was installed as our new Worthy Matron.  Sister Linda has a fabulous voice and she graced the Installation with a vocal solo accompanied by Sister Pat Dart on the organ.  The room recorations were beautiful and Sister Claudia's cake was spectacular!

Recent community services have included donating refreshments and decorated table for the 44th annual Kenai Lodge #11,  and student awards ceremony where about 100 people were in attendance.  For Easter, we gifted warm slipper socks to 60 residents at the Heritage Place.  We also gifted about 25 Easter baskets to children at our local Woman's Crises Center and to the hospital.
